The Geneva Little League offers programs for youth ages 6 through 16 and has been a charted Little League program since 1952. Age divisions in 2017 include: Baseball: Minor B(ages 6-8 – *6yr olds must have 1 year of experience with T-ball or coach pitch), Minor A(ages 9-10), Majors(ages 11-12), and Juniors(ages 13-16); Softball: Minors (ages 8-10), and Major (ages 11-12).

The 2017 season will open April 295th @11AM with opening ceremonies and run through mid-June, culminating with tournaments for each division. Local league play has traditionally ended in mid-June prior to regional district tournaments. Geneva Little League serves boys and girls, ages 6-16 living in the City and Town of Geneva, Penn Yan, or attending public or parochial school in Geneva.

For 77 years, Little League has been a place for families to come together, enjoy our nation’s pastime and provide a safe, fun and healthy setting for boys and girls to play baseball and softball. Geneva Little League provides a unique opportunity for our area children to learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication while being a part of the world’s largest youth sports organization.

Any adults interested in volunteering should contact the organization through the website (www.genevalittleleague.com). Volunteer support is not limited to those with children in the program. Some examples of ways that adults can volunteer include coaching, concessions, and field maintenance. Little League has always relied on the dedication of its volunteers, and, for the past 77 years, these millions of adults have provided a great sporting and community experience for players, parents and neighborhoods around the world.
